The Department of Mathematics was established under Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, Apart from being
one of the most prestigious departments that runs B.Sc. (since 1959), further B.A. (since 1961), M.A. (since 1965) and M.Sc. (since 1965) programmes,
it also offers courses in basic Mathematics to undergraduate & postgraduate students.
The department has witnessed a glorious past and its glory is still maintained.
It has been setting examples for not only the departments of the other colleges of the city but also
for the colleges of the university. since the Inception of the department with undergraduate courses
(B.Sc./ B.A.) and later postgraduate courses (M.Sc./M.A.) from the very beginning.
The department has been providing a healthy teaching atmosphere, great discipline and regular classes.
It has produced the number of students who have established themselves in various career streams like teaching,
high quality research work, civil services, bank probationary officers and DRDO scientists etc.
